A major prerequisite for the control of erosion–corrosion is the recognition or determination of the relative roles of accelerated corrosion and erosion. Only then can the appropriate action be taken. If accelerated corrosion following damage to protective films is the problem, there are two alternatives: Take steps to avoid damage to the film. Accept the film damage and use corrosion control methods.If erosion of the underlyingmetal is amajor factor, design and materials selection solutions should be sought.

چکیده
یک پیشنیاز مهم برای کنترل خوردگی فرسایشی تشخیص یا تعیین نقش های نسبی خوردگی تشدید شده و فرسایش است. تنها در این حالت عملکرد مناسب می تواند انجام شود. اگر خوردگی تشدید شده ناشی از خسارت لایه های محافظ مشکل ساز باشد، دو حالت وجود دارد: انجام دادن مراحلی برای اجتناب از خسارت دیدن لایه و پذیرفتن خسارت لایه و استفاده از روش های کنترل خوردگی اگر فرسایش فلز زیرین یک عامل مهم باشد، راه حل های طراحی و انتخاب مواد باید مدنظر قرار گیرند.
